    Funeral service for Mrs. Peggy Fenn Fleming will be conducted at 1:00 PM on January 5, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Waskom Texas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Verl Gunner assisted by Pastor Eric Paton and Bro. James Duncan. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM at Sullivan Funeral Home on Monday, January 4, 2016. Graveside service to follow at Algoma Cemetery in Marshall, TX.

    Mrs. Fleming went to be with the Lord on December 31, 2015 after a brief illness. She was born in Fort Worth, TX to Glenna and Milford Fenn. Peggy graduated high school in Coredell, OK. She married Shelly Fleming in Hugo, OK in 1977. Peggy was a talented seamstress, organist, and artist. She played the organ for Baptist Temple Church in Waskom for over 30 years and was also a beloved Sunday school teacher, church bus driver, and bookkeeper. Peggy had a zest for life and enjoyed many things, but her favorite was being a "Mamaw". She was loved by many and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

    Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; her bonus son, Shelly "Bub" Fleming, Jr.; and a sister. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Shelly H. Fleming, Sr. of Waskom, TX; two sons, Matt Taylor of Shreveport, LA and Mark Taylor of Waskom, TX; daughter, Connie Taylor of Houston, TX and her bonus daughter, Amy Fleming Gillard and husband Bo of Waskom, TX; seven grandchildren, Nikki Gillard and fiancé’ Matt King of Waskom, TX, Courtney Gillard of Waskom, TX, Tracy Taylor Brawley and husband Chad of Keithville, LA, Katie Taylor Williams and husband Monty of Keithville, LA, Zach Gillard and Cimber Davis of Waskom, TX, Jake Gillard of Waskom, TX and Shellie Gillard and fiancé’ Kyle Adams of Waskom, TX; nine great grandchildren, Colton, Alex, Jaxon, Cruz, Greyson, Dakota, Easton, Brandon, and K.C.

    Mrs. Fleming’s grandchildren will have the honor of serving as pallbearers. Her former students in her Sunday school classes will be honorary pallbearers.
