Dolores Ann Murfee
Dolores Ann Murfee entered into eternal life
Wednesday, March 9, 2016. She was born on September 21, 1931 in Orange, Texas to James W. Comer and Ollie McCall Comer. Dolores graduated from high school in Gueydan, Louisiana and then attended McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Dolores met William Edward (Bill) Murfee, Sr. in Red River, New Mexico during the summer of 1949 and married September 10, 1949 in Gueydan, Louisiana. Bill preceded her in death on November 10, 2011. Dolores and Bill lived in Lubbock all of their 62 years of marriage and raised their four children, Linda, Bill Jr., Lance and Mike. Dolores was a member of the Hi Robinson Sunday school class at First United Methodist Church and Lubbock Women's Club. She loved to travel, read, socialize with friends and be with family. Dolores always selflessly put her family first and gave them her unconditional love. Dolores is survived by her children, Linda Kratzer and husband Ken of Nashville, Tennessee, Bill Murfee Jr. and Nancy Nanny, Lance and wife Danna, of Lubbock, Mike Murfee of Garland, Texas; seven grandchildren, Lindsey and fiancé Clay Willingham, Holly and husband Greg Wilson, Klint, Trevor, Megan, Cody, and Brigham; and a great-grandchild, Zachary. Visitation will be Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Sanders Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 14, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church. Memorials are suggested to a charity of your choice.
