Eric Lee Haiar
Eric Lee Haiar, age 26 and a resident of Silverthorne, CO, passed away on December 12, 2014 in a snowboarding accident in Keystone, CO. Eric was born on August 22, 1988 in Colorado Springs, CO., the son of Roger and Shelley Haiar. Eric was a 2006 graduate of Marcus High School in Flower Mound, TX, where he participated in the junior ROTC program and also independently pursued music. He also attended Junior college at NCTC at both NorthLake and Corinth campuses. Eric was a past employee of Data Projections in Dallas, and was currently employed with Audio-Visual Solutions in Breckenridge, CO. Eric was an avid musician and snowboarder. At 17, along with other members of the band Once Too Young, Eric wrote and recorded original music. More recently he began writing and producing electronic music, and preparing it for publication. Throughout his short 26 years, Eric lived a vibrant, passionate life. He loved music and winter sports, and genuinely always loved to be surrounded by friends. He left Texas in 2013 for Colorado, to pursue his passions, mature his career, and still be able to live the dream of mountain living. Eric is survived by his parents, Roger and Shelley Haiar of Highland Village, TX, one sister, Andrea Jones and her husband Justin, niece Harper Grace Jones, and nephew Preston Lee Jones, of Lewisville, TX. Eric is also survived by grandparents Tom and Sharon Ford of Frisco, TX, and several aunts and uncles: Sherry and Jeff Henderson, Shane and Ruby Prevost, Pat and Jen Prevost, all of Texas, and Jackie and Duane Millslagle (MN), Judy and Bill Hurd (AZ), and Greg and Mary Haiar (SD). Eric leaves behind many, many loving cousins living around the nation.A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2014 from 6:00pm till 9:00 pm. at the Flower Mound Family Funeral Home in Flower Mound, TX. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 2:00pm at St. Ann Catholic Parish in Coppell, TX.
