HOUSTON - Mrs. Virginia Charlyne Giehm passed from this life Tuesday evening, June 16, 2015, in Houston.
Born August 29, 1929 in Goose Creek, TX, Mrs. Giehm had been a resident of Houston since 2008, previously of Hitchcock. Charlyne had worked as a cosmetology instructor for Mario’s School of Design and later Houston Beauty School, she also managed apartments for many years. She enjoyed working and never had a job she didn’t like.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Reece and Bela Miranda (Meacham) Hall; husbands, Wesley Paul Giehm and Joseph Arrington.
Survivors include her son Vincent Lawrence, Sr. of Lehi, UT; daughters, Kathy Green and husband, Kenneth of Santa Fe, Constance Bowers and husband Brent of Webster; stepdaughter, Paula Howell of Kearnysville, WV; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, with Mr. R.T. Pike officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Michael Black, Wayne Bowers, Jr., Shane Henshaw, Christopher Lawrence, Vincent Lawrence, Jr., Charles Mackrell, Eric Sanders and Roy Walker. Honorary bearer will be Trey Walker.
Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501.
