Mr. Tommy Gibson
A celebration of the life of Mr. Tommy Gibson, 83, of Henderson, will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 9, 2015 in the chapel of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home with Dr. David Higgs and Rev. Don Edmiston officiating, under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends following the service on Wednesday in the chapel at the funeral home.
Mr. Gibson passed from this life Monday, December 7, 2015 at his residence. He was born October 5, 1932 in Rusk County to the late Marvin O. and Annie (McDonough) Gibson. Mr. Gibson served the families of Henderson and Rusk County for 45 years as a Funeral Director with Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. During that time, Tommy was also a custom home builder and built several homes in Henderson and Rusk County. He and his wife Patty are members of First Baptist Church of Henderson where Mr. Gibson served as a deacon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father Thornton Strong, brother Charles Gibson, and step-brother Shaw Strong.
Survivors include: wife, Patty Gibson; sons, Ricky Gibson and wife Kathy, and Greg Gibson and wife Melinda; daughter, Jeanie Dickeson and husband Jim; brother, Garland Gibson and wife Clara; step-sister, Frances Webster, all of Henderson; sister-in-law, Rena Kavanaugh of Red Oak; and grandchildren, Tara Gibson and fiancé Matt Free, Clay Dickeson and wife Kearby, Hogan Gibson, and Collin Gibson.
The employees of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home will serve as pallbearers.
