J. Tommy Tiffin
J. Tommy Tiffin, 73, of Longview, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 12, 2016. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, March 16, 2016 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Rev. Scott Schulik officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday morning from 10-11 AM prior to the service.
Tommy was born to Earl and Estelle Tiffin on June 16, 1942, in Nashville, Arkansas. He was a member of Mobberly Baptist Church where he loved to greet people at the door. Tommy was employed at Lone Star Steel, Stemco, and Bailey Properties, He was also a home builder. Tommyâ€™s greatest joy was his volunteer work. He was named Volunteer of the Year in 2009 for Habitat for Humanity. He was a member of the Grace Team that built medical clinics in Guatemala, homes in Pineridge Indian Reservation, and a retirement center in Columbia, South America.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years, Bonnie Tiffin; son James Tiffin of Alvin, Texas, and son and daughter-in-law Jeffery and Lisa Tiffin of Longview, Texas; brother William Earl and Pat Tiffin of Texarkana, Texas; and brother David and Kelly Tiffin of Coppell, Texas; four grandchildren Lacy, Nathan, Caitlan, and Logan Tiffin, all of Longview; and numerous other family members.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the loving and caring staff of Haven Care and Hospice of East Texas.
