Martin Ortiz Torres
Martin Ortiz Torrez passed away on January 24, 2016. He was surrounded by his family and friends. Martin was born December 7, 1942, in Yorktown, Texas. He was a long time residence of Grand Prairie, Texas for the past forty-five years. He graduated from Tarrant County Community College with a mechanical certification after working at A.R.A. Manufacturing Company in Grand Prairie, Texas for over seventeen years as a leads-men Foreman. He was also a certified Locksmith for many years.
Martin had an early love for racing cars at Yellow Belly in Grand Prairie where he won many awards. He was very noble and lived a full and grateful life. He developed a passion for computers, Facebook, and computer games. At the age of 73 he mastered his the biggest passion for Facetime with his IPad being able to see family.
Martin adored his whole family and made many friends for life.
He is preceded in death by his Father & Mother Thomas & Tomasita Torres, Brother Thomas Jr. Torrez and Sister Ramona Cantu.
He is survived by his wife Gabina Vasquez of 36 years of marriage, daughter Manuelita (Mandy) Briones Watkins, Sister Manuelita DeLaCruz, sister, Josephine Martinez, Sister & Husband Salome & Santos Alverez and a host of Nieces and Nephews plus beloved pet Paco.
