Thelma Lorene Rhodes
Thelma Lorene Rhodes, 90 of Graham went home to be with the Lord on Friday December 5, 2014. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 7, 2014 at the Morningside Baptist Church in Graham, where she was a member and a saved child of God. Interment will be in Dark Corner Cemetery in Jack County under the direction of McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rhodes was born June 16, 1924 in rural jack County to the late John and Veda Pippin. She lived in Graham most of her life. She was a housewife and a mother to five children. Thelma spent her life dedicated to her husband, children, grandchildren, and many other family and friends.
Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Rhodes; her parents, John and Veda Pippin; one brother, George Pippin; two sisters, Rosie Brock, and Lola Mae Rhodes; one step grandson, Caleb Leatherwood.
Thelma is survived by one sister, Sally Pitts of Newcastle; daughter, Linda Bell of Mankins; four sons, Jerry Rhodes of Abilene, Richard Rhodes and wife Shirley of LaVernia, David Rhodes and wife Donna of Graham, and Mike Rhodes and wife Penny also of Graham; five grandsons, one granddaughter, seven great grandsons and several step grandchildren.
