James Stuart Kendrick
Jim Kendrick, 86 of Graham, went to be with Jesus October 16, 2014. A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday October 19, 2014 at Westlake Chapel Church, west side of P.K. Gary Riley and Dave Autrey will be officiating. A viewing will be held prior to the service. Arrangements are under the direction of McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home.
Jim was born December 20, 1927 to C.R. and Emma Aldredge Kendrick in Sweetwater. He graduatedÂ high school in Winters, Tx. and attended Texas A&M where he was a member of the corps of Cadets. Jim also attained the rank of Eagle Scout to the Order of the Arrow, and was a scout leader. Jim was involved in radio and tv repair his whole adult life. He owned and operated Kendrickâ€™s TV for 52 years retiring in 2009 due to health. Jim served as a deacon at the Westlake Chapel Church.
Survivors include: his wife of nine years Sybil;Â son, Stuart Kendrick; daughters, Julie Brown and Melanie Lynch; sisters, Marianne Welch and husband Bill and Janet Vaughan and husband Arlen; step-son, Jack Hawkins; step-daughters, Jan Harris and husband D.P., and Julie Hull and husband Garry; ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his parents and his first wife Norma Bedford Kendrick.
Memorials may be made to the Baptismal Fund of Westlake Chapel.
