Servando V. Chapa II
Servando V. Chapa II, 70, of El Campo, passed away Feb. 15, 2016. He was born on October 7, 1945 in Ciudad, Tamaulipas to the late Servando Chapa Sr. and Tomasa Valadez De Chapa. Before retiring, he worked for Pool Well Service as a Derrickman. He loved fishing and always looked for something to paint "blue".
He is survived by the love of his life for 49 years, wife, Carmen Moreno Chapa of El Campo; daughters, Gregoria Gaona and husband Albert and Beatriz Chapa and husband Roger Garcia Jr., all of El Campo; sons, Servando Chapa III and wife Barbara, Jesus Chapa and Wally Chapa and wife Laura, all of El Campo; grandchildren, Nathan Chapa, Nicolas Chapa, Devra Chapa, Carmen Chapa, Yasmine Chapa, Devin Rivera, Joshua Rivera, Aubri Gallegos, Ryan Garcia, Justin Garcia, Jeremy Chapa and Macy Chapa; great-grandchild, Jay Saldana; sisters, Bertha Tena of California, Orfalinda Gonzales and husband Brijhido of Zapata, Albeza Pruneda and husband Javier of Falcon Heights and Maricela Ramos of Roma; brother, Corando Chapa of Falcon Heights and several nieces and nephews.
Servando was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Farahon and Joel Hugo Chapa.
Visitation begins at 1 p.m. Feb. 18 at Triska Funeral Home with a Rosary being recited at 6 p.m.
Honorary pallbearers are his grandchildren.
Memorial donations in memory of Servando Chapa II may be made to the El Campo Volunteer Fire Department.
