In Loving Memory of
Hedwig (Heddy) Smolik Mozisek, 90, of El Campo, passed away February 21, 2016. She was born on October 4, 1925 in Hallettsville to the late Victor and Annie Ulcak Smolik. She was a self-employed beautician and then a physical therapy assistant at El Campo Memorial Hospital. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court 1374.
She is survived by daughters, Barbara Gadeke and husband Billy of El Campo and Karen Bruccoliere and husband Joe of Houston; son, Dennis Mozisek and wife Nancy of El Campo; grandchildren, Cindi Bena, Kim Shilling, Dr. Korryn Mozisek; great-grandchildren, Kolton and Jayden Shilling and Allison Bena; sister, Irene Bollom, Ann Cartwright and Lillie Janak and brothers, Victor and Hubert Smolik.
Heddy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Julius F. Mozisek and brother, Julius Smolik.
Visitation begins 2 pm on Tuesday, Feb. 23 at Triska Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 5 pm to 7 pm. A Rosary will be recited 2:30 pm Wednesday, Feb. 24 at St. Philip Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will immediately follow at 3 pm with Rev. Clement Quainoo officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Memorial Park.
Pallbearers are Larry Shilling, Kolton Shilling, Jayden Shilling, Bryant Bena, Dr. Kevin Zollman and Wesley Smolik.
Memorial donations in honor of Heddy may be made to St. Philip Catholic School or St. Philip Church Building Fund.
