Dorothy Mae Pospisil
Dorothy Mae Trochta Pospisil, 86, of El Campo, passed away March 1, 2016. She was born on February 6, 1930 in El Campo to the late John and Frances Mozicek Trochta. She worked as a sales clerk at Weiner's for many years and was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court 1374.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna Shelton and husband Jerry of El Campo and Brenda Strelec and husband Sonny of Edna; son, Warren "Butch" Witcher and wife Cindy of El Campo; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; twin sister, Evelyn Thompson of Ganado and sisters, Anna Bell Cornelson of El Campo and Emma Dell McDonald of El Campo.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis Pospisil and brothers, Jerome and Johnnie Trochta.
Family will receive visitors from 4 pm to 6 pm on Thursday, March 3 at Triska Funeral Home. Visitation will also be from 8 am to 1 pm Friday, March 4 at the funeral home. A CDA Rosary will be recited at 2:30 pm Friday, March 4 at St. Philip Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will follow at 3 pm with Rev. Michael Rother officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Memorial Park.
Pallbearers are Jerry Shelton, Jr., Dustin Shelton, Jason Witcher, Wendel Witcher, Kody Witcher and Jack Strelec.
Memorial donations in honor of Dorothy may be made to St. Philip Catholic School.
