    A Celebration of Life Service for Marcy McMillan Johnson, 45, of Carthage, Texas will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Corinth Cemetery under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2016 at the funeral home. Marcy died February 27, 2016 in Bossier City, Louisiana.

    Marcy Darlene McMillan Johnson was born November 26, 1970 in Carthage, Texas. She was raised in the loving home of Woodrow and Oleta McMillan and schooled in Carthage, Texas. Marcy was saved in the Midyett Baptist Church and grew up in the Deadwood United Methodist Church. Marcy was all about her family, children and grandkids and her boxer Sable Cheyenne Johnson. She loved family games, rebel flags and trucks. She was a no frills and lace kind of country girl. She is preceded in death by Woodrow McMillan, Pappa Tim and Mama Jerry.

    Marcy is survived by her memaw, Oleta McMillan of Carthage, children she adored, Audra Harris and the late Heather Caughman of Carthage, Ashley Johnson of Carthage, and Joseph Johnson and wife Demori of Elysian Fields, grandchildren, Sabrina Harris, LogEn Harris, Bryson Burch, Brantley Johnson, Brakstin Johnson, the father of her children, Marty Johnson and wife Renada of DeBerry, many brothers, sisters other relatives and a host of friends.

    Serving as pallbearers will be, Anthony Burch, Cody Nemeth, Danny Pierce, Patrick Walker, Tucker Essery and John Blackstock, honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren. The family has set up a memorial at First State Bank in Carthage in Memory of Marcy Johnson and expenses for Audra Harris. An online guestbook may be signed at
