    Funeral services for Mrs. Geneva Alford Lovil, 91 of Carthage, Texas will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Linebarger officiating. Burial will follow at DeBerry Cemetery under direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Family visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2016 at the funeral home. Mrs. Lovil passed away, January 28, 2016 in Carthage, Texas.

    Mrs. Geneva Howell Alford Lovil was born May 14, 1924 in DeBerry, Texas to Henry John and Lula Mae Singleton Howell. She was preceded in death by her loving husbands J.T. Alford and her second husband, Elmer Randall Lovil; her parents; brother John Henry Howell and sisters, Dena Carathers, Coretta Nix, Dorothy Hughes and Patricia Irwin.

    She is survived by her daughter Lynda Porter and husband Pat of Carthage; son Terry Alford and wife Sandra of Carthage; son Malcolm Alford of Coppell; sister Faye Whitis of Longview and sister Wanda Harringon of Gladewater; grandchildren, Patrick Porter and wife Desiree of Redondo Beach, California; Jay Alford of Carthage; Chris Alford and wife Segrid of Carthage; great grandchildren Riley Porter and Easton Alford; step-daughter Patsy Shirey and husband Truman of Carthage; step-daughter Judy Taylor and husband Mike of Pittsburg; step-son Travis Lovil and wife Vicki of Carthage; step grandchildren Traci Shirey of Tyler; Leigh Ann Elliott and husband Stephen of Carthage; Susanne Barber and husband Nick of Arlington; Kristi Ebey and husband Jesse of Flint and, Erik Lovil of Carthage, Randy Winchester of Pittsburgh, Debbie Burson and husband Larry of Roanoke, Bo Sharpe and wife Brandy of Carthage, step great grandchildren, Nick Norton of Pittsburgh, Matthew Burson of Roanoke, Kassi Kaylynn Sharpe.

    Serving as pallbearers will be, Patrick Porter, Chris Alford, Keith Chapman, Truman Shirey, Jay Alford, Kirk Burleson and Robert Duncan. The family suggests memorials to the DeBerry Cemetery Association.
