Mr. Thomas Taylor
Graveside services for Mr. Thomas "Tommy" Taylor, 70, of Houston, Texas will be 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at the Liberty Chapel Cemetery. Burial will follow under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1-2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Taylor passed away March 3, 2016 in Houston.
Mr. Thomas E. Taylor was born October 31, 1945 in Shreveport, Louisiana to James E. and Floye Lavonia Farmer Taylor. Tommy was a mechanic, welder, pipefitter, entrepreneur, jack of all trades and master of some. He was a lifelong motorcycle enthusiast, outdoorsman, devoted father and grandfather and one of the last of a dying breed. Tommyâ€™s passing leaves a void that can never be filled and he will be sorely missed. Mr. Taylor is preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Taylor is survived by his daughter, Mary Ann Taylor of Houston; grandchildren, Olivia Michelle Edwards and Braeden Anthony Edwards both of Houston; sisters, Wanda Lynn Taylor Robinson of Cold Springs, Alice Taylor Morgan of Friendswood; brother, Kenneth Taylor of Cold Springs; nieces, Stacy Lynn Herrod and Paige Morgan; many extended family in East Texas, and a multitude of friends who held him in deep esteem and whose lives he impacted deeply.
Serving as pallbearers will be James "Leghorn" Lamb, Bandido "Yankee" Ron, Gary, "Hank" Henry, Ron "Super Dog" Alexander, "Little" Keith Landrum and Johnny Guillory.
