    Funeral services for Mr. Cecil Clark, 71, of Carthage, Texas will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 19, 2016 at the Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Buddy Bankhead officiating. Burial will follow in the Restland Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Visitation will be 12:30-2:00 p.m. Friday prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Clark passed away February 16, 2016 in Georgetown, Texas.

    Mr. Cecil Arthur Clark was born October 12, 1944 in Temple, Texas. He was the fifth son of six born to the marriage of Clyde Raymond and Ava Mae Cole Clark. Cecil was raised and schooled in Temple graduating with the class of 1963. He served his country through the U. S. Army and later married Janet Sue Holder June 26, 1971 and they celebrated almost 45 years together. Mr. Clark worked for Lineman TP&L and Texas Utilities as a supervisor retiring after 37 years of service.

    Mr. Clark was a member of the Church of Christ in Wildwood, loved fishing and outdoor yard work. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Tracey and James Clark.

    Mr. Clark is survived by his devoted wife Janet Clark of Carthage, son, Steven Clark and wife Shantise of Columbia, Missouri, daughter, Stacie Guice and husband Thomas of Harker Heights, brothers, Richard Clark and wife Mary of Temple, Danny Clark and wife Marie of Belton, Clyde Clark and wife Faye of Port Lavaca, grandchildren, Shelby Hudman, Todd Hudman, Jordan Hudman, Shane Hudman, Blake Guice, Colton Guice, Saniyah Small, Jackson Clark and Spencer Clark, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

    Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Foster, Calvin Turner, Tyson Turner, Pete Commiato, Butch Jones and Gary McGuire. The family suggests memorials to the Church of Christ in Wildwood or the Alzheimer’s Association. An online guestbook may be signed at
