Freddie Adam Kosh, 91, passed away at his home on December 2, in Bryan, TX. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 5, at St. Josephâ€™s Catholic Church in Bryan with Rev. Msgr. John McCaffrey officiating. Internment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m., on Friday, December 4 at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan. Rosary will be recited at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Freddie was born March 10, 1924 in Bryan and lived in Brazos County his entire life. He was a lifelong member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the long time manager of Kimbell Feed Company in Bryan until his retirement in 1992. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the First Cavalry Division in the Pacific Theater.
He was preceded in death by his parents Adam Albert Kosh and Victoria Dziedzic Kosh and sisters, Pauline Holubec and Agnes Young.-
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Evelyn; son, Kenneth (Mary) Kosh of Bryan; daughters, Carolyn (Richard) Gardner of Long Beach, MS; Cynthia (Leon) Blackwelder of Liberty, TX; Cheryl (Charles) Kessler of Carson, IA; and Claudia (Edward) LeDoux of College Station; twelve grandchildren, Sheila (Dan) Drummond of Frisco, TX; Michael Kessler of Collinsville, IL; Andrea (Tommy) Teague of McKinney, TX; Jason Blackwelder of Round Rock, TX; Adam (Robin) Blackwelder of Houston, TX; Nathan Blackwelder of The Woodlands, TX; Heather Gardner of McKinney, TX; Clinton (Courtney) Kosh of Bryan; Glenn Gardner of Ft. Hood, TX; Gregory Gardner of Dallas, TX; Clayton Kosh of College Station; and Laura Kessler of St. Louis, MO; and ten great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Eddie (Catherine) Kosh of Moulton, TX; Henry Kosh of Bryan and three sisters, Helen Bean of Corpus Christi, TX; Margaret Norcross of Wolf City, TX; and Annie (David) Hutcherson of Corpus Christi, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.
