    JIM MACK STEWART

Birth Date: Dec 9th, 1939 Death Date: Dec 25th, 2015
Jim Mack Stewart, 76, passed away at his home in Del Rio, Texas, on Friday, December 25, 2015, following a lengthy illness.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 31, 2015 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews. Interment will follow in the Andrews Old Cemetery under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 30th from 6:00-7:30 PM at the funeral home. Please celebrate his life by visiting www.mcnettfuneralhome.com.

Jim was born in Peacock, Texas, on December 9, 1939, to James Edward and Illa Elene (Bilbrey) Stewart. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Eddie Gail Stewart. He moved to Andrews with his family during the oil boom of the 1940's, where he attended Andrew's schools, worked as a welder and superintendent at his dad's business "Stewart's Welding", raised his family, and formed and owned "Cooling Tower Service." After his retirement in the 1990's, he moved to Lake Amistad to pursue his love of fishing. He was an avid sportsman and fisherman with many a fish tale to tell.

Jim Mack was a member of the Andrews Masonic Lodge #1024, Lubbock Scottish Rite, and El Maida Shrine Temple. He was an amazing, loving "old school" Dad and loved to tell tall tales to his grandchildren. He was a "good 'un." It is appropriate that he should leave this world on the birthday of his beloved Savior, Jesus Christ (this writer believes he planned it this way.)

He is survived by his wife, Nora of the home; one sister, Janie Arlene Hollowell of Seminole, Texas; two children, Tracy and her husband, Donald Spurlock, of Andrews, Texas, and Dee Stewart and his wife, Phyllis, of Stephenville, Texas; six grandchildren, Barbara Klein and Rachel Spurlock of Andrews, Texas, Harve Stewart, Philicia Hupp and Jessie Ainsworth of Stephenville, Texas, and Kristy Ainsworth of Beaumont, Texas.

Pallbearers are Harve Stewart, Jordan Hupp, Marty Keesee, Jamie Price, Marty Slaton, and R.D. Deaver. Honorary Pallbearer is Johnny Dunn. Music by Andrea Keesee.
