James Damon Foster Sr
Damon Foster Sr. passed away on Thursday June 4, 2015 at his home in Andrews, TX. He was born on September 5, 1923 in Gorman, TX to Silas Wesley and Flora Foster
Shortly after Japanâ€™s attack on Pearl Harbor, at 19 years of age he enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps where he served 40 months of honorable service. Then during the Korea Conflict he was recalled into the U.S. Air Force where he served another 12 months of honorable service.
Damon was employed by "Phillips Pipe Line Company" and worked the areas of Midland, TX, Odessa, TX, Whiteface, TX and Andrews, TX. He took an early retirement in March, 1984 and moved to Andrews, TX where he lived until his death June 4, 2015. Damon was also an avid Ham Radio Operator and loved computers and electronics.
Damon Foster Sr. is survived by his two children, J.D. Foster Jr. and wife Brenda of Andrews, TX and his Daughter Valorie Ray and husband ED also of Andrews, TX. He is also survived by three grandsons, David Winters and wife Rene, Jared Foster and wife Jill and Kevin Foster and five great grandsons, Jeremy and Robert Winters and Nathan, Spencer and Parker Foster.
