She married Glen Haggard February 2, 1973 in Andrews and for many years she was the owner and agent at Harvick Insurance, a local insurance company. She had lived in Andrews for many years before moving to Lubbock three months ago to be closer to her son and his family. While living here she and her husband were very involved in several charities and the Andrews Booster Club, and rarely missed a sporting event. As she always said, "We love Our Andrews Mustangs."Harvick enjoyed a number of hobbies over the years, including crocheting, stained glass and making decorative items. But mostly she enjoyed visiting with family and friends.

She made her small family her priority all her life. Then she had a grandchild, Ian Glen Haggard. He was the light of her life and her pride and joy. She and Ian spent many days and hours doing crafts and cooking, one of her favorite things to do. She always said she didn’t know she wanted grandchildren until Ian was born, then she learned a "different level of love."
